Life can be a challenge at times, can't it?

• Have you ever found yourself doubting yourself and your abilities?

• Have you ever asked yourself, "Have I done everything I can in this situation?"

Then you are normal... so, relax!

You can be successful! You can start again! You can build over or do better!

Is your life over? Not yet! Is your failure fatal? Not yet! Is your career stalled? Not yet!

Are you a quitter? Not yet! Are you past your best years ? Not yet! Are you defeated? Not yet!

Have you decided what amazing thing you want to accomplish with your life? Not yet!
Have you started? Not yet!
Are you successful? "Not yet, but I will be!" can be your enthusiastic answer...

I trust you get my point. We have an opportunity to move ahead, to leverage our lessons, and to start over. You can make that choice and move ahead to create the success you want!

A number of years ago, prior to embarking on my journey as a professional speaker, trainer, author, and success coach, I joined Toastmasters. I'd been nudged in this direction to hone my speaking skills by a friend already in the speaking business.

Later, I received a brochure about Toastmasters' professional level, Accredited Speaker designation when I completed my Able Toastmasters level. It's title laid it out for me, "Are you good enough to be a pro?"

I put that brochure on my office wall and with a big black felt marker I wrote, "Not Yet, but I will be!"

Fast forward a number of years to the Toastmasters International convention in Palm Desert, California in 1998. I walked across that stage to the cheers of more than 2000 supportive Toastmasters to be inducted into their Hall of Fame as the 48th, professional level, Accredited Speaker in the world.

It was an amazing experience that has been a pivot point in my life. When I first started working toward the Accredited Speaker designation I was still honing my skills. When I finally walked across that Palm Desert Stage, four years later, I was already a full time professional speaker active in leadership with both NSA and CAPS.

My NSA colleague, Terry Brock, spoke at our 2009 CAPS National convention in Calgary. He shared how to expand and promote our speaking and training efforts with the use of our websites, blogs, and social media. He also challenged us to create and use videos and to work with other professionals to better serve our clients. He constantly challenged us to start where we were and to answer, Not Yet! when asked if we were doing something, we knew we should be doing. For example, He asked us, "Have you set up a blog?" "Not yet!" was the reply from many who had not yet done so. He challenged us to use that, NOT YET!, answer as a call to action.

What he said resonated and reminded me of the above brief story and I decided to create this little website to share it with you and to challenge you to use, Not Yet! as your personal call to action.

Bob's leadership and contributions have been recognized by the United Nations, the National Speakers Association, and the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers. In 1999 he walked across a Palm Desert stage to the cheers of 2000 plus Toastmasters to be inducted into their Hall of Fame as the 48th recipient of their coveted, professional level Accredited Speaker designation. To date, only 58 speakers in the world have earned this recognition. In January of 2009, he was given an International Excellence in Innovation award in Mumbai, India.
